It's normal for the screen not to light up instantly on first boot. The motherboard runs memory training, which can take a few minutes.
Things to Check in BIOS/UEFI
- Whether the CPU model is correct
- Whether full RAM capacity is detected
- Whether the SSD/HDD is detected
- Whether CPU temperature looks normal
- Whether fan speeds are showing up
- Whether the USB drive is selected in boot order
- Whether XMP/EXPO is enabled
A Note on BIOS Updates
You may need a BIOS update for CPU support. But a power outage or a wrong file during a BIOS update can leave the motherboard unable to boot. Before updating, carefully check the motherboard model/revision, the BIOS file, and the instructions.
Fan Curve Basics
A fan curve determines how much fan speed increases as temperature rises. Set a gentle curve for less noise, or an aggressive curve for more cooling.
